Supplies:

  • Temporary spray adhesive
  • Tear-Away stabilizer
  • 10” X 8” pieces of fabric. (Mask front)
  • 10” X 8” pieces of fabric. (Mask back)
  • ½” wide Ribbon (your desire length)

 

1.       Hoop a piece of Tear-away stabilizer and Stitch color 1 (“Placement stitch”).

 

 
2.       Using temporary spray adhesive, lightly spray on the placement stitch and place mask front fabric right side out over the placement stitch so that it is completely covered.  
3.       Stitch color 2 (“Front fabric tack down”).

 

 
4.       Take the hoop off the embroidery machine. Carefully cut away the excess mask front fabric from inside the eye holes and around the outer edges of the mask along the tack down.

 

 

5.       Attach the hoop back onto the machine and continue with the design until you get to the color that says “Back fabric tack down”.

 

 
6.       Take the hoop off the embroidery machine. Using temporary spray adhesive, lightly spray on the back of the hoop and place the mask back fabric right side out over the back of the embroidery so that it is completely covered.

 

 

7.       Attach the hoop back onto the machine and stitch the next color (“Back fabric tack down”).
8.       Take the hoop off the embroidery machine. Carefully cut away the excess mask back fabric from inside the eye holes and around the outer edges of the mask along the tack down.

 

 

9.       For the remaining steps, wound a bobbin with the same color thread that is using in the needle.

 

 
10.   Attach the hoop back onto the machine and stitch the last color that is satin border. It will give the mask a nice finish.

 

 
11.   Finish look from front and back of the mask.  
12.   Remove the mask from the hoop. Tear away the excess stabilizer from inside the eye and ribbon holes and around the outer edges of the mask.  
13.   Tie ribbon of your desire length to the each ribbon hole that is on the sides of the mask.
